Well I hear rumors that Chris Evans may be making his living playing Marvel heroes. First he is the Human Torch and now I hear that he has been or will be offered the part of Captain America. I don't really know if I see him as Cap who could lead the Avengers. Who knows? Whoever the choose it isn't just the Captain America movie that rest on his shoulders but also the Avengers movies. Cap and Iron Man are the big 2 in that group. So they need an actor who can stand up to Robert Downey Jr. Not sure that Chris Evans is that guy but he may be.
