The above picture is from the DC book JLA-Z. It is the entry for Plastic man. But there is something missing from the retelling of his origin here. Actually it is missing from most of his origin stories ever since the first one. Recently, as loyal readers of this site know I was interviewed at It's a Dan's World about why I created a fan site for Plastic Man. Now I told the truth. The visuals of the 1966 version hooked me but I was young and not able to read much at the time. Later I read the reprints of the Jack Cole stories and was hooked by how well he wrote and drew them. Still that interview got me to wonder if there was more to why I liked Plastic man.
*******WARNING! DANGER WILL ROBINSON! DANGER! THE FOLLOWING MAY CHANGE YOUR LIFE! If you don't like to read about religion or Christianty stop now. Go to another site or just read something else on this one.**************************************
For those of you who stayed, read these next two pages from Police Comics #1.

Now I was raised in a Christian family. My religion doesn't have any Monks in it but I liked Plas' origin alot the first time I read it. After reading it again I realized that since He was rescued by a Monk he was treated in a Christian manner. Mr. Cole didn't go indepth into what happened in Rest-Haven but there is a possibility that Plastic Man was led to Christ. So to me if super powered heroes existed in real life then Plastic Man may be a Christian. We all have deeper meanings to why we like some of the things that we do. Sometimes we never find that link it is just there. I think I have found my link to why I like Plastic Man.
