Batman:The Brave and the Bold Videogame

Not too early to start making a mental list of what you want for Christmas this year. I see that Kids WB this fall will be bringing out the Brave and the Bold video game. I may have it on my list.
You can play as one of your favorite DC characters. Of course I will play as Plastic Man but I hope to play as all eventually.

Rest in Peace Jim Harmon

I just heard that Jim Harmon, the writer/editor of the "It's That Time Again" series of short stories dealing with characters from old time radio, has passed away. Mr. Harmon was the first person to buy a story of mine and published it in that series. He exchanged some e-mails with me and he seemed like a very kind man. I even learned a few literary devices from him. His last e-mail was to congratulate me on on the release of my book "Dinky the Elf" but how he may not be able to get a copy. Now I wish I had sent him a copy. Mr. Harmon was a huge fan of OTR, movies, comic books and more. He tried to encourge all writers and he will be missed.

Batman: the Brave and the Bold Revenge of the Reach

Here is Last nights episode of the Brave and the bold. A fun episode as always and I loved how they opened it with, what looked like, opening credits for a Challengers of the Unknown cartoon series from the 60's or 70's. Made me wish they had one back then. For awhile I was a big fan. Still a fan but just not as big as I use to be. With the upcoming intros showing a bigger show with Staro is on the horizon I can't wait to see it. Perhaps it is a 2 hour Brave and the Bold made for TV movie.
As you see the main story dealt with Blue Beetle and the Green Lantern Corp. The scarab is really part of the Reach and it makes you a hero for awhile but then takes control and calls the Reach to come and invade where ever you are. It seems to pick those who it think has a weak will. But if you recall in an earlier episode Batman told the new BB how the scarb wouldn't work for Ted Kord. Still he found a way to use it by making weapons out of it to fight crime. So did it sense Ted was stronger willed then it thought and decided not to try and control him? Who knows?

Here is a 1968 Charlton in house ad for there western books. I rearly read the western's but I did read Billy the Kid from time to time. My parents sold comic books as a part time job in little Mom and Pop shops. It was rare to get the books I really liked such as Marvel, DC and Archie. Most of the ones that got were Charlton. It takes me back when I see the old Charlton covers.

Special Edition from Columbus Dispatch

Here is a special that was put out in 1979 by the Columbus Dispatch as a back to school special. Also I had a hard time uploading this issue as I had once again reached my limit. So I will only be posting issues for a limited time. If you want to read them or link to them you should do so now. It may be gone later. This way I will always have a little room for these postings. But if it is gone before you can read it I may post it in the future. No promises but I might. The ones that are so far safe from this are books that have Plastic Man and Captain America as I run fan sites for them. But who knows about the future.

Batman: the Brave and the Bold "A Bat Divided"

Here is last nights episode of Batman: the Brave and the Bold. I loved seeing Firestorm and the episode was great. Still it did leave me with some questions. I liked seeing Ronnie Raymond back but why use him instead of Professor Stein as the other part of Firestorm? You saw the Professor in the first few minutes so I was expexting him as part of the hero. Why use Dr. Echs instead of the Firestorm villian from Firestorm #1 Multiplex which was the same kind of charactor? Also, why have Batman's third personality be a slacker? Batman has always had a playboy side to him. I would have used that. While the other two were fighting you could have had him flirting with Catwoman or Poison Ivy. Instead he sits around eating nachos. No matter what it was still a fun episode.

Will Marvel publish the adventures of Condorman?
I came across this posting that shows there is a chance that now that Walt Disney owns Marvel they could publish Condorman. I also hope that, if Disney still owns the rights, they publish Dr. Syn alias the Scarecrow. Both would be fun to read and a good fit for Marvel.
