Tales From the Dollar Bin: The Joker #6

This was actually my first issue of this series. Had to get some of the others at comic book stores and the others I found scans of on line like you have at this site. To me this issue was great. I wish they could have taken this fake Holmes and Watson and given them their own series. To me this shows that no matter where evil pokes its ugly head somehow in someway justice will rise up to fight it.I hope you enjoy this issue as much as I do and have a Happy New Year!

I've really been enjoying these. The Joker comic was arguably the best villain book ever, certainly in the Bronze Age.

Irv Novick is one of those great great talents, overlooked and under appreciated in his own time and still too often today. His Batman might be my favorite, and his Joker is ideal.

Thanks again.

Loved this series as a kid, and this ish in particular. Around the same time, there was a TV movie where Larry Hagman played a motorcycle cop who suffers a blow to his head and decides/realizes he's Sherlock Holmes reincarnated. Which would make him crazy, right? Except that suddenly he really can solve crimes like a genius, which was certainly not a claim he could make before the injury. Cute movie, and this comic captures the same vibe.
