After showing the ad yesterday I thought I should show the book today. Don't you love those 60's titles like "Revolt of the Super-Chicks"? When those writers and editors trying to sound hip it's like watching a Bob Hope sketch with Bob dressed like a hippie.
To show you what I mean about the Bob Hope crack here he and his guest are in a 1967 sketch playing hippies.

Brave and the Bold Ad
No it isn't Christmas so don't pay attention to that ad at the top, but I do love those old comic ads from the 60's. What I did post this for is the ad for the Brave and the Bold featuring a team-up with Supergirl and Wonder Woman. Were they trying to see if one of them could star in the book like Batman eventually did? Perhaps they would have made this like a female version of World's Finest Comics? Normally I would think that would have to have had Batgirl instead of Wonder Woman but this issue came out in late 1965 and the Barbara Gordon version of Batgirl wasa year away at that time and the Betty Kane version of Batgirl was retired in 1964.

Team-Up Ad
How big were team-up books in 1978? Well they were so big that DC had this one page ad in all their books to announce the arrival of another Team-up book to the line up. Well all now know that this book was also another additon to the superman family of books, DC Comics Presents.

Red Tails Trailer
Here is the trailer for the new George Lucas production. No it isn't a new Star Wars but a World War II drama based in real events. It looks pretty good too.

Amazing Fantasy Short Stories

I am trying to get funding together to put together a book that follows a certain issue of Amazing Fantasy #15 as it goes from one person to another over the years and how it influences their lives. I have written 2 stories already and another writer would pick up the thread from there and so on and so on. If any writers who read this site are interested let me know. If I can get the funding I will get you more info about it.
